About Calypso - This piece was written during the Covid 19 Pandemic of 2020. The composer was inspired by dreams of far away tropical islands and carnivals with aspirations to one day travel again to his beloved Kokomo. This piece is written for and dedicated to all band students. It's upbeat tropical rhythms create an uplifting and 'catchy' piece making for an excellent musical introduction for new band students.
